Millbee is a wonderful Irish company that produces reusable food wraps, multi-purpose balms and candles, all made with organic beeswax. The midlands-based company was a finalist in Irish Country Magazine’s 2020 ‘Irish Made Awards’ and looking at their beautiful products, it is easy to see why.
Jennifer Doyle, founder and owner of Millbee, set up her studio in Tullamore, Co. Offaly in 2019. The mother of two wanted to create something that would have a positive impact on her children’s future. She wanted to design a product that would allow her to combine her love for design, craft, nature and sustainability. As a beginner beekeeper and an avid cook, she had the idea to create an eco-friendly alternative to cling film – beeswax food wraps! Jennifer had found the perfect way to amalgamate her life passions to produce a sustainable solution to plastic waste. Her reusable food wraps were just the beginning, she continued to put her creative talents to work and she went on to make hand-rolled beeswax candles, as well as a multipurpose, all-natural beeswax balm.
So, let’s take a closer look at her fabulous products!
